Corporate Social Responsibility

Like any EMS, eco-labeling dynamics require the establishment of a specific organization that relies on a network of actors within the company.

The “Ecodyn team” is composed of dynamic members of the Communication, Human Resources and Fleet management units. Thanks to the complementary strengths of its team members and the support of management we have put in place various measures to reduce our environmental impact.

These measures include:

• yearly regulation audits
• energy reduction
• waste reduction
• biodegradable communication tools
• fleet management

Our dedicated “Sustainability Officer” coordinates our Ecodyn team's efforts around a unified action plan. 

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part our Altran Group strategy. For us, performance and success are underpinned firstly, by solid and lasting relations with our clients who, like us, strive for excellence from the operational level upwards and secondly, by close ties with our consultants for whom we want to be an employer of choice.

In the day-to-day management of our business, our goal is to install a sense of pride among our consultants, forge relations of confidence with our partners and implement a responsible and innovative strategy for the benefit of society as a whole.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility Charter covers the fundamental principles adopted by the Group. It serves as the basis for our actions and commitments and defines the conditions of our responsibility vis-à-vis our stakeholders.
 
The principles encompassed in this policy cover all areas of Altran SA-NV’s operations and have been developed and continue to be reviewed and updated by reference to relevant codes of corporate governance and international standards including the United Nations (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Wassenaar Agreement, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises established by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, UN Global Compact, SA8000, ISO 26000, ISO 14001 and the UN Convention against Corruption.

We obviously want to keep track of consumption and set forth current actions. But we would also like to integrate more of a sustainable development aspect to our EMS and of course introduce new activities. Involve our staff and all of our consultants even more.

Altran Belgium strives to become a leader in promoting innovative ideas in the field of Sustainable Development, as we already are on many other topics. Environmental management should thus be considered as only one of part of a much broader approach, an approach to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility as a whole.

We get involved in our community through different specific initiatives. During the Christmas period, we donated a collection of toys from our employees' children to an association for Childhood Brussels. In the same spirit, the Easter eggs we offer our employees are purchased from an association which builds wells in African villages.
