Introduction:
I do have an educational background in environmental management & in chemistry, but I really learned and acquired specifics skills during my professional career in R&D sector with EDF in Germany and in operational assignment as a consultant for a broad diversity of clients in Belgium (private sector, administrations, funding agencies, industries, consulting and engineering companies), through contacts with colleagues, customers, providers and authorities. I joined the "EHS & Energy efficiency solutions" team in 2010 as a consultant. Altran gave me directly the opportunity to develop my knowledge, tools and methodologies specific to our own solution. By becoming a consultant at Altran, I had the opportunity to implement our solutions by providing appropriate services to fit the specific needs of our customers. I also had the opportunity to expand my knowledge to other areas and develop a much more integrated approach to EHS & Energy issues in a wide variety of projects for industrial, real estate sectors and public projects (environmental impact assessment, permitting, audit, regional plan, strategic program, EPB Directive, Photovoltaic plant, Carbon assessment, technico-economic feasibility study for best treatment solutions of air emissions and industrial wastewater).

What does Altran mean to you?
A chance to grow in a challenging atmosphere and the opportunity to manage my career with flexibility. Indeed, my job as a consultant has change considerably since I joined Altran, my trades remains the same but with Altran, I have evolved in different contexts in terms of integrated solutions to provide in order to respond to our clients' objectives. In fact I had the opportunity to focus on a lot of aspects related to environmental and energy issues. Altran has been for me a place to share multidisciplinary experiences with multitude colleagues and to meet friendly people.
Besides developping your skills, what did Altran bring you?
Transversality! Multidisciplinarity! In our industry when other companies are proposing to work by segmented expertise, Altran and explicitly the solution center offered its consultants to develop their expertise and to discover other areas. Our clients’ needs are very different. It's very rewarding to see the diversity of jobs and to see how the solution center Altran can always help.
Teamwork is a real catalyst for our work. We implement many of our projects in team. The Synergies created are impressive and rich of experience.
What do you expect from Altran now... and tomorrow?
That Altran pursues with its organization transformation. And that it continues to promote its projects capitalizing on its multi-skills and cross-border experience. The Solution Center and the different solutions offered an extraordinary experience that must be promoted.
Who is Franck
- Franck Joined Altran in March 2010
- He is 32 year old,
- He graduated from University of Sciences & Technologies of Lille, in Environmental management & Chemistry
- He has begin his career in Germany for 3 years as project engineer in the European Institute for Energy Research, a joint research institute established by EDF, EnBW and the University of Karlsruhe
- He has worked also 3 years in a consulting agency in Belgium as EHS & Energy consultant
- He already conducted missions for various clients for Altran in the Industry (IRE, Erachem, Luyten, WOS, Sibelga), private sector (Fedesco) and public services (Walloon region – SPW, IBGE – Bruxelles Environnement, Erasme Hospital, SPAQUE)
