Altran Pulse Roundtable Conference with Gerco Rietveld « a new paradigm for procurement »
Altran would like to thank all the participants and speakers present at its Altran Pulse Conference of October 28th on the topic of procurement.
Gerco Rietveld opened the conference with his presentation on his « new paradigm for procurement ». Gerco Rietveld was previously Head of the Procurement Department at ING Group and was founder and CEO of one of Europe´s first and major procurement consultancies. At present Gerco is a strategist, supporting companies to renew their business models and strategies in order to survive the current crisis.
The new paradigm is based on the conclusion that procurement is delivering the wrong things to the wrong people. In his presentation he substantiated his conclusion, presented the way forward and touched on the impact of the new paradigm on buyer-supplier interactions.
Following this intervention, Stéphane Panazio, CEO of Chauvin Climatique and François Thys, VP Global Sourcing & Contracting and Strategic Alliances at UCB Pharma SA, gave us their testomies regarding this new paradigm from a practical viewpoint.
The conference ended with an open Roundtable in company of our speakers. Reactions and ideas were exchanged freely between participants, which led to a rich debate.
